What Rewardtree is

Rewardtree is a loyalty platform: businesses ("merchants") run stamp- and points-based programs; their customers ("members") hold digital loyalty cards in Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, the Rewardtree app or a browser. By creating an account or joining a program you accept these terms. Merchants run their own programs — the reward, its conditions and honouring it at the counter are the merchant's responsibility; Rewardtree provides the platform. Venues with a live program appear in the Rewardtree app's nearby-venues discovery — name, suburb and join link only, never member data — and you can switch that off any time in Settings; the public Trending page stays strictly opt-in.

Plans, the free tier, and billing

• The core tier is free forever — unlimited locations, members and staff, with fair use of one ABN per free account. What is free and what is paid is set out on the Pricing page.
• Paid plans are billed by subscription through Stripe, at the prices shown on the pricing page.
• Promotional and founding-member pricing applies only while the subscription it attaches to remains active; it lapses if the subscription is cancelled and is not transferable.
• You can cancel any time from the dashboard; paid features stop at the end of the billing period and your program keeps running on the free tier. Your data stays exportable (CSV) on every plan.
• Campaign credits (SMS/WhatsApp) are prepaid and priced per message at the rate shown when you top up. Credits don't expire, but they can only be spent from a paid plan. If you close your account or cancel your paid plan, contact us and we'll refund any unused balance; beyond that, credits aren't refundable except as the Australian Consumer Law requires.

Merchant responsibilities

• Honour the rewards your program promises, and keep your program terms accurate.
• Market only to members who have expressly consented — the platform enforces this, and sending outside it (or attempting to) breaches these terms and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
• Use member data only for your own program. Exporting it to sell, rent or share with third parties is prohibited.
• Keep staff access honest: accounts and PINs are for your staff; manual stamp awards are audited.
• Tools you connect via API tokens or webhooks act on your behalf — choose them carefully, keep their credentials secret, and hold them to these same limits.
• Content you publish through Rewardtree — your page, links, images, pass text and lock-screen messages — is yours and your responsibility: keep it lawful, accurate and yours to use. You give us the licence needed to host and display it, and we may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
• Don't game the network — fake members, self-stamping to farm metrics, or abusing another platform feature can lead to suspension.

Member basics

• One membership per verified mobile number. Your cards and balances travel with your number.
• Rewards are redeemed with one-time codes at the counter; codes expire quickly and screenshots don't work — that protects the businesses you support.
• You can leave a program, export your history, change marketing consent, or delete your account at any time via rewardtr.ee/manage.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break, probe or overload the service; don't forge passes, codes or scans; don't use Rewardtree for anything unlawful. A merchant account and its rewardtr.ee link must belong to a real business you're authorised to represent — impersonating another business, or claiming a link to squat or resell it, isn't allowed, and we may reclaim such links. We may suspend accounts that put members, merchants or the platform at risk — where practical we'll warn first, and data export remains available.

The platform's promises and limits

• We aim for the service to be fast and available, but it is provided "as is" — brief interruptions (upstream providers, maintenance) can happen. Current health is on the status page.
• Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Beyond what that law guarantees, our liability for any claim connected to the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months (or AUD $100 for free-tier accounts), and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss.
• Passes carry "Powered by Rewardtree" on every tier — it is part of the product.
• Your data: you own your business's member relationships; members own their personal information; we process both per the Privacy Policy.
